In 2011 Michelle Browne was invited to join Dublin City Council's Grafton Street Design Team to contribute to the design process, working alongside other disciplines and professions, emphasising the value placed on an integrated and collaborative approach to the design of the public realm. As part of this work, the group developed a temporary intervention on Clarendon Street for which Browne, in collaboration with New Graphic Design Company, developed a series of graphic and quotes that were painted onto a newly expanded pedestrian walkway. Inspired by road markings the work includes quotations in Irish and English referring to the experience of walking.
